Groot Marico / Swartruggens Road Trip

In order to avoid confusion that might be caused by all the recce reports, here is the latest in the saga on this trip.



The trip will be divided into two sections:

Section 1 - to breakfast
Distance = 169 km from Shell Atterbury to The Deck Restaurant for breakfast (2:15 hh:mm)
Start 7:00 for 7:30 am
Arrive at Sasol Broederstroom at 08:15 after 67.4 km via R512 past Lanseria Airport
Those bikes that cannot do 221 km on a tank needs to fill up at Sasol Broederstroom
Leave Sasol Broederstroom at 08:30 and arrive at The Deck Restaurant Rustenburg for breakfast at 10:00


Section 2 - after breakfast
Distance = 148 km round trip starting and ending at The Deck Restaurant via Swartruggens (1:50 hh:mm) after breakfast
We fill up at Koster Total after 221 km from Shell Atterbury.
Those bikes that cannot do 221 km on a tank has already filled up at Sasol Broederstroom
These bikes also has to fill up at BP Waterfall Park in Rustenburg for the ride home

Going Home
You can either take the Toll road N4 home (134 km) or
Take the same route back again

My wife and I would have loved to do this trip, but I sold my GS and her GS is not comfortable for 2!!

Seems these rides will have to wait until we are a 2 bike family again. Looks like a nice ride, I have been that way before and it was a great day out.
