Chris - have added your names to the list on page 1 of this posting. Richard - we now have 16 people - well within the limits of between 10 and 20 people you initially set. Regards.

Cool I am currently checking available dates for the Trainer. Mid-October seems the earliest suitable time, due to the GS Challenge in September.
In order not to occupy two weekends, I'm proposing the certified training on a Saturday from 10:00-18:00, ending in a braai, with the follow-up bike-related training the day after on Sunday from 12:00-16:00. Alternatively, the follow-up training would be on the Monday or Tuesday night following to allow a Day of Rest 'middagslapie' Sleep

Re: First Aid Training - Interested...?

OK, here's the news.
The Committee supports training of riders and this course is also supported.

The First Aid (Lvl1) course will have to take place over 3 days:
2 days instruction by Red Cross instructor
1/2 day exam ( you gotta study too?)
1/2 day motorcycle specific instruction.

The course costs R400 + a manual, sundry bits of equipment @R100 = R500
I have discussed with the committee and the Club will refund attending members R100 on presentation of their certificates. (U pass, we pay?)

So, we have to find 3 days to do it in....
I propose Saturday+Sunday followed by the next Saturday to write the exam and do the motorcycle-specific stuff.

I'm testing the waters on this:
I don't believe we can do this before the end of the year. October is already full and November is crazy with year-end parties, etc. December is santa holidays. So I propose January, week after the first club meeting and the Saturday after that.

Waddayousay? scratch
