The forum belongs to the BMW Motorcycle Club, Pretoria, South Africa and is managed by the elected Club Committee.
The Club Committee, through its administrators and moderators, may at any time allow or revoke posting privileges to members and non-members at their absolute discretion.
Language and Behaviour:
In keeping with the international nature of the family of BMW clubs, the general language of this forum is English. You may also write in Afrikaans.
SMS-style messages and deliberate mistakes should be avoided to avoid misunderstandings.
No defamatory, racist, hateful, overtly sexual, obscene or illegal content is allowed - including user avatars and posted pictures.
No coarse, vulgar or insulting language is allowed.
Keep all comments civil - be courteous at all times in line with the Club’s mission.
Use common sense - we want to keep this forum suitable for our families to read.
Do not pretend to be / represent somebody else.
Use your own words. If you do wish to use the words of somebody else, please clearly quote them, citing the source.
If you feel a post violates any of these rules, or you wish to bring it to the attention of the administrator or moderators, please use the ‘Report an abuse’ link at the bottom of the page to notify the moderators.
Topic titles:
When you post, please use a title related to the content of your post.
Avoid words such as "Urgent", "SOS", "Question", "Hurry" in your topic as these may be filtered as spam.
If you don't find your topic in the original place, it may have been moved to a more appropriate place on the board.
Capitals and font size:
When you write your message, avoid using capitals unless you really want to shout.
Overly large text similarly resembles screaming.
Signatures and avatars:
Signatures must not be more than three lines of text.
If images are used in a signature, they must be smaller than 15KB and no more than 50 pixels high.
No overtly sexual or ‘gore’ avatars may be used.
Agreement to comply:
Through the act of registering for this forum, you agree that the owner, administrator and moderators of this forum have the absolute right to remove, edit, move or close any topic at any time, should they see fit.
Do not query moderator's decisions on the board. PM if clarification is required.
Respect the moderators and administrator - they all work voluntarily on this forum and are, after all, human.
If admin / moderators feel that a thread is going downhill:
The thread may either be locked or deleted. (We don't want petty fights!)
The participant(s) will be warned (and/or PM’ed) and will be given a deadline to correct their post.
If the participant(s) do not react positively, a formal warning (with or without a temporary or permanent ban) will follow.
We reserve the right to ban abusers from the site.
We reserve the right to amend these rules at any time.
