Re: Tell us who you are?
Hi, I'm Deon
I have been riding my KLR650 for the last year, doing various trips to the Lowveld and Northern Province. Have done some really nice trips with my partner Alison. We have done most these trips alone, but met up with some nice riders on our ways.
I have just bought my 1200GS 2009 from Bavarian East, and done the Lowveld the same weekend. Can't wait for this bloody cold weather to move on so I can do a nice long distance trip.
I would like to join the club, but I am based in Witbank, which means I will miss out on a lot of the club stuff.

Hi there
My name is Zanda, I am new to this forum.
I ride a GS650 (Twin). Was riding a Transalp 650 for a year or so then bought my twin. Absolutely love it. My hubby & I are hoping to join the GS breakfast ride on Sunday. It will be great to meet some of you !
Happy riding

Re: Tell us who you are?
Cool! Looks like we'll have a bunch of 'newbies' (although a year on a TA moves you into the advanced category!
)
Welcome! Would like to see more people with 650 twins off-road - they're highly underestimated for off-road use and perfect for our kind of club rides.

Thanx Dakardrix
I agree - the 650 twin is very capable of offroading. It's only "problem" is it's ground clearance. Tends to catch on the rocky stuff. But if you are vertically challenged, as I am, and cannot ride a higher bike ... then you just make sure you chose your lines carefully
Will you be there on Sunday?

Re: Tell us who you are?
Welcome Zanda a.k.a. Puddles
Does your nick name imply that you prefer mud above rocks and sand?
If you're not a member of the club yet, pop in tonight at 18:00 or so. You & hubby will get to meet us, and if you like us you can sommer sign up to become a club member - otherwise you keep signing disclaimers when you ride with us
See you around, oh and congrats with your 650-twin... gives the TA a beating any time of the day!
