The 11:00 Road Ride...

I will be leading a group from Atterbury Shell, DPEARTING at 11:00.
The route will be via Atterbury, Hans Strydom, Lynnwood, Bronkhorstspruit Road, N4 to Witbank (Swartbos Rd) offramp. We will break for a 10-min leg-stretch, smoke, refuel, whatever at Total Tasbet Park (corner Kiepersol Ave). I am not planning a lunch stop, so please bring your "padkos" or similar to eat along the way.

We will depart there about 12:30, continuing via Van Wyksdrif, Hendrina to Carolina to refuel. Thereafter we depart directly on to Badplaas, where the group can chill out as much as they choose before the braai.

I will be travelling at steady legal speeds, with minimum halts. If you are a newer rider, this group will give you the opportunity to ride comfortably without having to maintain a frenetic pace. Cool

See you at 11:00..

I have a very old Webster's Dictionary and
- 'frenetic' is referred to 'phrenetic', which means
- "mad", "frantic, the noun being "madman"

Nou hoe bedoel Oom dan nou?

Who in this Club rides/leads like a madman or in a mad manner? That person should be banned from the club. Any names that may be coming up?

As I see it the GS guys will be leaving 09h00 for a pleasant day long ride to Badplaas;
the S's will be leaving at 13h00 for a 3h 40min ride at legal speeds arriving at Badplaas around 18h00

Reg so - ons is dan 5 fietse. Kry mekaar by die vultasie op die delmas pad net voor die bapsfontein 4 rigting - groter en makliker om in en uit te ry - praat nou van pretoria se kant af.

Laaste vergadering loop eers ten einde 12:30 - sal so net na 13:00 by die huis ry - plan is om 14:00 op die laatste daar te trek. Dan rofweg 200km oor. Sien jou vrydag.

Vanaf iemand met 'local knowledge':

Die vulstasie vóór die 4-rigtingstop is 'n BP en sowat 1km voor die stop. Dit is by die Venter Centre en jy moet afdraai na hom.

Die vulstasie op die oorkantste hoek van die 4-rigtingstop is 'n Caltex en kan nie gemis word nie. Hierdie is nmm 'n beter wagpunt want die BP is weggesteek.

Dalk moet julle die regte vulstasie nomineer, anders wag julle vir mekaar...

BP garage 1Km voor die stop op die R50 - Rigting van Pretoria na Bapsfontein - is makliker om in te ry - die ander mense kom van kempton op die R25 deur - so ook makliker vir hulle om in te ry. Beplan om op die laatste 13:15 hier weg te kom - rofweg 30 min se ry soontoe - afhangende van die verkeer. As jy voor ons daar is - Andre Botha (Rooi RT) was saam met ons Katse toe.

Toe maar - Dorothy ry ook met die kar - ek met die fiets. Ry tussen 3pm en 5pm afhangend hoe laat sy kan wegkom by die werk. Dink ons gaan die braai mis.
